I had similar thoughts about whether a beach umbrella that I bought in Sicily would be allowed on the plane back to LGW. In the end I decided that it wasn’t worth the aggro and offered it to a Dutch couple with young children on the beach as we finished out final day’s swim and beach lounging. They were delighted with the offer and readily accepted. I wonder if it has since been passed on to other folk and where it is now?
