Bringing smelly foods onboard should not be defined by what we each think is 'normal' but rather whether that smell could be disturbing or nauseating to other passengers. There are foods well known to have noxious smells in confined spaces with recirculating air and this includes french fries, certain fried food, foods heavy in garlic and spice, foods heavy in onion, some fish, boiled eggs, some vegetables, some cheese, fermented foods, a lot of the traditional cuisine from various parts of the world, etc.
Perhaps something could be done about the overpowering colognes and perfumes that pax wear? Some scents literally make me nauseous to the point of puking. I'd rather smell intense BO or rotten foot odor than some of these colognes/perfumes.
