I find it interesting that A3 have finally introduced a segment-only requalification path, which I don't think has been discussed yet, but 32 segments seems a bit much. Unless you take almost exclusively GoLight P,U or T class domestic trips, you will hit the 18,000 mile requirement before you ever hit 32 segments. I think 24 might have been a better number. What's interesting is that I dont think the crowd that does 32 segments but cant hit 18k miles makes A3 much money at all. These fares are typically taxes + fuel surcharge + a very low base fare(think 10-20 eur).
So, what is their financial incentive to grant them lounge access etc, effectively/possibly making each fare a loss maker as fast track + lounge access + free luggage +opportunity cost to sell even a cheap standard seat is probably more than the 10-20 eur base fare they'll typically pay.
