A thought just occurred to me after all this, and I was wondering. To those of us that travel business regularly, does it really make any sense to chase after gold or platinum status? If you are travelling business you get most gold benefits anyway. Lounge, extra luggage, etc. Why be loyal to one airline? Business on the cheapest fare is the way to go now.
