Interestingly, I recently booked a MCO-BER Skymiles award reservation and was hoping to use Delta's AMS flight as the connecting point. Nope, would only sell me AF via CDG in both directions.
The last time I booked a Skymiles award (Fall 2022) I flew DCA-DTW-MUC/MUC-AMS-DTW-DCA with all flights on DL except MUC-AMS on KLM. I could have returned MUC-DTW-DCA on DL, but the flight via AMS departed later in the day, at a better time for me.
