lost_in_translation how did you find your stay after your initial comments above?
The timeline for the overall renovations to finish is now August, so has slipped a bit. I’m not sure if they will have switched to block 1 and 2 by February or not but I share the same concern and e.g., will not be booking a stay over Easter next year if there’s a chance I’ll be in 1 or the noisier bits of 2.

My stay was otherwise same as always, really. Had a block 3 ground floor suite for the first time which some might like for the extra outside space but I didn’t like as I’m obsessed with natural light and it’s too dark and exposed to passing traffic (same as the lagoon beach rooms).

Asado Nights reopened on 1st November, went on the opening day and food is great as always. Breakfast quieter than when fully booked last year due to fewer rooms (but certainly not quiet as hotel is now permanently at 100% occupancy of the available rooms). Service good everywhere and doesn’t seem staffing has been cut in restaurants etc. due to the lower number of rooms. No renovation noise heard from suites in block 3 or 4 on my last two stays.

On EK4 tomorrow so may be back this weekend.
