As QRPC PLT flying in business, I'm in Al Safwa roughly 15 times per year, and my experience is different. First, I've never seen a line to get into the men's room near the dining area. (I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, only that I haven't experienced it.) IME that men's room usually has only one or two other guests in it, and it's not small. I haven't noticed the food going downhill, either. IMO the selection and quality are still both very good. The wines, however, have definitely and measurably gone downhill. I typically drink champagne (my favorite wine), and the lower quality is obvious compared to the old days when LGD was nearly always available. Sleeping rooms? I haven't noticed that it's any more difficult to get one recently than earlier. It varies greatly, as it always has, depending on what time of day you arrive.
