I am not the one making who is going to make a fuss, the likelihood that I would have read and known that a specific type of suite comes with a free minibar, while another does not is roughly zero. If the staff tells me I have a free minibar included I will know, or if certain items are clearly marked as being complimentary.
I am merely saying I understand the argument, that guests would kind of expect that what is listed as a part of the room's specifications/benefits are available when they stay in the room. And that there should be a decent level of transparency of what to expect when. I doubt hotels truly upgrade guests out of the goodness of their hearts, like airlines, they oversell the lower classes of rooms, and upgrades are part of making space for that. That is not going to go away, even if some guests complain that they felt short changed on the expected free minibar.
Anyway, we are digressing from the general topic of PH Bangkok, and we don't have to agree. We just have to accept that there are differing opinions on the topic.
