My view is that the reservation is an agreement or contract between the hotel and its guests. If a Marriott hotel closes on its own, it needs to honor the reservation at a nearby hotel, like when an airline cancels flight, they need to accommodate you in another flight and may offer meals and other things. In the same spirits of contract, we will be charged one night by the hotel for no show on a reservation.
