I think Plat is not really made for mileage runs like other programs: more like a recognition of people traveling a lot with A3. in this case, I agree it's underwhelming if not downright useless.

Re. gold, goodbye free-ish *A gold status. 12 flights are not a lot, but it still mean a significant change in the habits of many, by what I can read above. it was good till it lasted.
