LHR-ORD Departing the B gates. I had exactly the same thing happen a couple of weeks back before boarding BA299. There were around 30 folk waiting at the top of the stairs/escalator by the time boarding was allowed.
in contrast MAN-LHR earlier that day was perfect (from a Group zero point of view)
