You are missing the point. Sure, you can cherry pick. But, look at the vast majority of inventory.
I did a double take upon seeing this thread. Just 2 weeks ago, we booked sfo-jfk, 2 J seats, for 39K miles a piece AS WELL AS using Atmos pts for a 3rd J seat on the same flight for 35K through Alaska/Atmos.
As they say YMMV
