JFK-ICN basically suffers from all the same problems except range. This would sort of be like DL running JFK-TYO (except DL has a stronger presence at JFK) which they stopped operating several years ago when they were pulling down the NRT scissor hub. (DL doesn't actually run any JFK services to Asia at all, even when they have a partner hub, eg ICN or TPE.)
Rumor is that DL will resume transpac flying out of JFK with JFK-ICN, though it could be just them taking over a frequency currently flown by KE
