I recently flew Las Vegas (LAS) to Honolulu (HNL) onboard their Airbus A330-200 (N378HA) to find out if the airline truly delivers that famous Hawaiian warmth and hospitality. Hawaiian Airlines has long been an airline that I've wanted to try so it was fantastic to finally tick off this airline from my list.

In my latest video trip report, I cover the full experience:
  • The Club at LAS Terminal D Lounge
  • Check-in and boarding
  • Cabin and seat comfort
  • Food & drink service
  • Service and atmosphere
  • The game-changing Starlink Wi-Fi performance mid-flight
Was this the perfect way to start a Hawaiian adventure… or are there a few small details Hawaiian could refine?

Flight Details:

Route: LAS–HNL
Aircraft: Airbus A330-200 (N378HA)
Cabin: Main Cabin (Economy)
Flight Time: 6 hours, 4 minutes
Fare Paid: $381.20 one-way (approx. £283.00 per person)

I have made three round trips LAX-HNL this year. Two on HA and one on UA. One segment in Main Cabin and the rest in First. All on widebody aircraft as I will pay more and change airlines to avoid single aisle to Hawaii. Hawaiian’s hard product is hard to beat. The complimentary hot food in coach is much appreciated. Main cabin attendants were friendly. First Class comfort is particularly a step ahead. The orchids in the lavatory are a nice touch. Lounge access at HNL is nice. United First service feels more upscale though. Better meal presentation and many choices if your pre-order. Amenity kits. Higher end bedding. Flight attendants roaming the aisles always available. Can’t comment on United Economy service.
