I have an award flight in Y next month, CUN-ORD-DSM. The upgrade price for the CUN-ORD has come down to a low enough amount that it would be worth the money to me to have lounge access for the over 3 hour connection in ORD. Since I would be arriving ORD in J would I still have lounge access at ORD even though my connecting flight to DSM would still be in Y? Reading the access rules on AA.com it seems that I would be allowed in the lounge in this situation.
