The rules are still 100mL even with the new scanners. You just don't have to take them out of the bag. But regardless, I do believe it's the old scanners as not even T4 main security has the new ones yet so I'd be ready for personal liquids in a plastic bag. Bottles from duty free still sealed in the bag are allowed through.
