If we're taking bets, I would expect that the new Cafe about to open in the C-pier is the true "Cafe" that YVR's getting (from the photos posted it looks a lot like the YUL Cafe). My guess is that they will use the space near C50 as a UA-style grab-and-go or other temporary facility while the renos in the MLL are ongoing, and once that's done they will move on to whatever longer-term plans they may have.
Will be interested to see pics of the Cafe that's opening this week and knowing how many seats it has. Will also be curious to see what the C50 thingy turns out to be and how the capacity of A+B compares to the existing MLL. Anyone have any idea what the capacity of the current MLL Is? It should be posted somewhere, probably on the Liquor License.
As someone who seems to fly in/out of the C50/51/52 gates most often I don't see the new Cafe as being very convenient to me. Hopefully the under-construction spot between Security and C50 has decent space and offers a reasonable amount of seating as it will be the first thing people see and will naturally gravitate to, perhaps not even knowing about the one further down the C pier.
