I could barely find any outright availability in premium classes for Australia, and Zone 10, even 355 days out (late-Oct 2026). I have a huge stash of credit card points, but am not sure now where to transfer them. CX?

Depending how big your stash is and how easy it is for you to come by miles in general, Access awards may be the way to go for you. Afterall, these are still a better deal, mostly, vs cash + miles. And you get instant confirmation.
However, if you are more sensitive to miles needed for free flights as you may not be able to earn that much, I would think CX is a better proposition.
