Someone encountered this situation in HKG Pier F.
If you want to bring someone to the lounge, even if you're a DM, you must register your MPC with your ticket and allocate points to your MPC account. You can't use the old method of showing your membership card to let guests in.
Dunno if this is a new norm.

I flew status-less last week. At check in, I showed them my DM membership card and asked for a courtsey channel pass, buggy voucher and F lounge "flashcard."
They obliged and provided all three and left my MPC# off the BP.
Successful admitance into the Pier F lounge.
