That's better than the call I got where they offered to move me to an earlier flight and probable downgrade ("well...we don't have any seats up front right now but you'd be on the list...") in exchange for...nothing.
I know the caller was just doing what someone told them to do but it was kind of a "who in their right mind would agree to this 'you get everything/I get nothing (since my next segment wouldn't change...not like I'd get where I was going sooner)' " offer
Although many, many, moons ago when a hurricane was bearing down on Houston and I was in Omaha I got a call from the Omaha ticket counter telling me that my flight the next day had been canceled but there was an extra section if I could get to the airport "quickly"
