Second, I wanted to determine if I needed to track down their card # when booking their travel, sometimes it's not at hand
Third, if they book their own travel I wanted to make sure they could use their own auth user card and not ask for the primary's. When there's 5-10 cards in play, it becomes disorganized vs the old system where simply being a cardholder was sufficient.
In all cases if they billed to the card, they would just zelle me the purchase price.
If they are traveling alone, then they need to be an authorized user (with their own card) to get the benefit. If they are traveling with you or with another person who has their own AU card, they get the benefit. They can use their own card to book. They are an authorized user on your account; their card is perfectly valid and they can use their card to buy anything they like. If they use it to buy flights on AS on which they are traveling, they get the benefits along with 6 others on the same pnr who do not need to have a card at all.
