New question:

If Person2 (Auth user) travels and buys a cash ticket with person2's card (auth user), do they get a free bag?

Of person2 (auth user) travels buys a cash ticket with Person1's card (Primary member) do they get a free bag? They hold an Auth user card.

For purposes of this discussion, tickets can be purchased while logged out so I assume who actually purchases doesn't matter and only the payment material and ticketed passenger is relevant.
Maybe if you told us what you are trying to accomplish, it would be easier than all the hypotheticals. Both the primary and the AU cards are ultimately still the primary's account so the primary pays the bill and gets the points from the purchase. So why wouldn't each user just use his/her own card to purchase the flights. I don't get what you are trying to do here.

The flights must be credited to the Atmos account of the person buying the ticket. So if the AU is the only cardholder traveling, they can't credit to another program if they want the benefit.

I'm an eligible cardholder, but I want to credit my flight points to another program.
In order to qualify for the first checked bag free benefit, you must credit your flight points to Atmos™ Rewards. Companions traveling with the cardholder may credit flight points to other programs.
