I was in NYC for work the week of Oct 20th to 24th and there were seats in F across multiple flights to/from NYC that week. It was the start of half-term, so business travel may have been down a bit, but the situation was dynamic with Avios seats opening up in F even on the day of travel (and in this case, 2F seats were available on the 6.30pm JFK - LHR on Thursday 23rd Oct or the 5.50pm from EWR). I think people have to forget the notion of booking First redemptions 365 days out (BA just won’t release F seats that far in advance - and they aren’t obligated too), but instead grab Club seats and keep an eye on F from about 4 weeks out and you can get lucky!
