Concerning the JP Morgan Reserve, my wife is a long time cardholder and we dreaded the day that I would be booted from the guest access..

Her new United Lounge access privileges started yesterday and she flew yesterday.

She informed me that her new membership still allows her to take in 1 person flying on United with her!!!

She was a bit unclear, but it seems that Star Alliance Lounge access may still be operative for her (and 1 guest) as well.

I read a Reddit thread from a couple of months back and the poster indicated that their banker had advised that the above would occur, but that was contrary to what Chase initially advised.

In any event, perhaps others similarly situated could report.

Perhaps Chase has relented because the Sapphire Reserve and by implication the JP Morgan Reserve changes have been met with quite a degree of disfavor, especially when compared to Amex’s Platinum changes that have been well received.
