I have no previous experience with IHG, but just got Diamond status via Chase. I happen to have two previously-booked, two-night bookings (on arrival and departure) next year at the Intercontinental Tahiti. We are in a 1King Bedroom, Premium Bungalow, overwater, Moorea Island view room. We already purchased the in room breakfast.

Id be appreciative if those more experienced might offer insights on what the Diamond or Diamond plus Ambassador add-on might offer:

1. There are two higher-level suites/villas. Might we get upgraded? If so, now, or based upon checkin availability?

2. we could use a very late checkout on our last night. Is there a free night option that I can get appended to this weekend booking?

3. Original reservation made through JPMR Travel. Would this impact Ambassador/Diamond benefits?

4. Any other Ambassador add-ins that would add value to these reservations?
