is kind of tight. The fact that it’s a valid connection in terms of Minimum Connection Time does not, in any way, imply that you’ll make the flight. All it means is that UA is willing to let you try and will allow you to rebook for free if you do not.
With UA having expanded into the G gates at ORD, it is now possible to have some extremely long walks between connecting gates at ORD.

If there is an earlier flight to ORD, you can try to do a confirmed change to it on the date of travel, or you can try to standby for it if no confirmed space is available.
