It is concerning how difficult it is to get the right amount of Avios credited even on simple oneway Finnair itineraries. I was given 1133 Avios for an intra-Europe flight recently, when the right amount was 7488. I contacted AY and asked to fix the amount only to find later that day that the "other department" corrected the amount to 6157. Had to contact them again and finally two days later had the right amount of Avios on my account. Also two of my friends just received way too little Avios for a JFK-HEL flight.
One of the reason why I have a spreadsheed in Excel about my flights. I can calculate the TPs already ahead of a flight. As soon as the credits are getting in then I can compare. In most cases it is more or less the same amount. When I get more than I have calculated I don't care. The otherway round I would contact CS to figure out why. Never had to do that because I mostly got more than I have calculated.
