Check in, security and boarding were great, much improved. However, we were stuck on the stand for 50 minutes as according to the captain "There are insufficient 'follow-me' vans to cope with the number of departures, due to teething problems with the new taxiways'.
Return journey was even worse, remote stand, no buses, no, stairs, no staff. Once on the buses, not enough for the full plane, then a 15 minute wait to open the arrivals door. then vomited out in the emergency exit. Arrived at the Station 80 minutes after landing.
Not to repeat everyone else's observations and comments, but how on earth did BA allow this to happen? I'm used to MAN forgetting they actually run an airport and not a carpark, but BA allowing this to happen to their customers is nuts!!
Can I ask whether you’ve lodged a complaint? I don’t think BA will consider addressing these issues with MAN unless we tell them how unacceptable the service is.
