Yeah there are 10+ places I’ve needed to go just this year (Kona, Spokane, Fresno, Baton Rouge, Marseilles, Aspen, Lafayette, Tucson, Winnipeg, Brownsville) that do not have New York service on any carrier.
New York is wonderful and will always be my home, and has a plethora of international carriers, but it’s not overflowing with destinations. With four airlines having hubs in NYC and a lot of slot restrictions, they are naturally flying to a lot of the same destinations.
You can, however, fly 1,000 times a day to Florida and LAX haha.
