thanks for clarification. i wasnt questioning this part of your original post. i just didnt think the agents were speaking in general or uneducated terms since they were specific about the OTA used. the thing is i assumed the booking ota would appear as cxloyalty even if they used expedia backend services, and on 2nd thought, that may not be true
Oh ok, sorry about that, what I meant was that a lot of systems that agents see only show that it was an OTA, and many agents then will say it was an Expedia booking as that would cover the majority or reservations, so that is what they say (and what I meant by uneducated terms). There are a few ways some agents could figure it, if they are really paying attention to booking locator numbers during that time and recognize a pattern, or if they are on one of the few systems that is importing that data.
