That would surprise me. From what I have seen, it correlates with the total booking numbers, awards and paid. With the awards likely a small fraction.

We are six in our pool, but four do not fly much although my son in law gets miles from a credit card, and my wife mostly flies on rewards but once a year on s companion pass, latitude upgraded. Otherwise nowadays it's mostly paid J. We also shop for origins in Europe from where J is cheaper, so positioning occasionally, if possible using PRs. This year we will have used all PRs. 2MM so my wife is already 50 k. So no value for giving status to a relative. A few status passes would be useful but it seems this year I will end up with one left.

Bottom line then: first priority is PRs. Getting a fifth banked year would be good since it may still take me five years to reach 3MM, assuming I still travel by then. Right now it looks like i will be close without needed extra SQCs. In which case, I will end up getting some of the insignificant gift cards.

Perhaps we can start a trading pool? 35 k for a friend against what? The numbers on the chart are completely inconsistent. Sometimes two status passes are worth 7500 points, sometimes 5000. Similar for bonus SQCs and gift cards. Does not really seem they tried assigning consistent value to the various "benefits."

Does not come across as terribly professional, more like two kids in their basement... Maybe they should hire our moderator, at least as a consultant? :-)
