Shouldn't they lower the spend to 1K? or rename 1K to 22K or 28K? They should just call it GS-pre or Platinum-Plus since there aren't enough PP acronyms

Do people really care about preboarding? Sure it feels nice walking in front of other people and removing it now would look like a downgrade, but realistically, even if I were in group 2, I'm pretty sure I'd still find a place for my bag. I do understand it can be hard in 1st class since everyone is bunched together or near row 7 since people panic and just stick their back there eventhough they sit in the back. Or the space is taken up by crew bags or safety equipment.

To me the most important thing is:
1. PlusPoints (and the ability to use them)
2. IRROPS handling (though rare) / 1K line
3. CPU? (Is that still a thing?)
4. Free food in economy
Free GE, Clear is a thing of the past
E+, *G Lounge access, Baggage, Premier line is also important to me but I get that at Gold.

I don't know how much a larger or smaller 1K population affects any of those things. Even with PP, the availability is so small. Who knows how many people are trying to use them on intl flights. I'm willing to be that the majority of 1K's don't know how to use them wisely or don't even travel intl.
