For me it was the (unusual) experience of sitting behind the curtain on BA, versus the open cabin in EZY that was most striking. In BA ET I very much felt like a second-class passenger; two crew to serve 20 full rows versus 2 serving the front 10x2 config. 2 toilets for 120 of us; no access to the toilet for most of the flight because of slow service; the swishing of the curtains reminding you that there is a class divide On EZY the cabin felt open and bright as you could see end to end; the whole crew was there to serve the “economy” cabin as quickly as possible; and no one had to line up at the back to go for a pee if they wanted to stretch their legs and go to the front! That plus the professionalism of the EZY crew in making sure the luggage storage was optimised and the plane got away on time.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be back in CE and enjoying it but I do wonder how BA gets away with charging a premium to the low costs for inferior service and experience behind the curtain.
