As above you should apply for a refund before travel if permitted to get refund back, if its a super cheap ticket tts not worth it
I had this very issue today as one of my sons managed to injure his ankle playing sport just before travel. But the app would not let me check in just those of us that were travelling. While it lets you select who you like it failed if I didn’t select everyone. Since I had time I let them know at the aerclub desk he wasn’t travelling when we got to Dub, not that it mattered.
