Other chains have been much more pleasant - Lore Group is a standout so far
I stayed at the NH Copenhagen a few weeks back and they didn't offer any benefits for Discovery members. The only acknowledgment of the program was at checkout when they asked if I wanted to use any D$ against my bill.
Sea Containers on the other hand were fantastic and although there was no upgrade, we got a free cocktail in the very nice bar, a bottle of wine in the room, and free breakfast. A very nice hotel even without the benefits.
