Confirmation from AC at the YHZ reception last night that the YUL MLL reno is a complete redo within the existing footprint. No structural work, which is likely the reason it is only closed for 3 months (ish). It was not clear if there is a layout change or just new fixtures/finishes/equipment.
This is not at all surprising, but disappointing nonetheless. That place is way too small, and installing some of those crappy cafeteria tables they have in YVR might increase capacity slightly, but they need more space.

Granted, I only recently went to the YUL Café for the first time, after the MLL had closed, but it's not that big. It may take the edge off slightly, but the Café would need to be 2-3x the size to make much of a difference.
