I "took one for the team" last night and ordered a LSML SFO/LHR. The flight is extra late this week due to BST ending before the US changes clocks, and I figured I'd mostly lounge eat anyway. In fact, this is one of the rare times in my occasional BA flying that the SFO CX lounge was open early enough to relax before the later BA flight.
The poor LSML must double or triple for several "trying to be healthy" options, such as low fat, low calorie,.etc. What makes them extra healthy is that you don't want to eat much of it. Good thing I wasn't particularly hungry. When I saw a packet on Sweet n low next to the roll, I wasn't sure why as I only wanted low sodium.
An angel whispered "drink my rose."
Quite edible. But why no pepper? I wanted low sodium, not low seasoning. The roll is probably from a Desert Storm MRE. The salad was ... Well probably is on its way to an incinerator.
Dried chicken, broccoli that probably had a two-day boil, and some sort of orangy squash. Much of this plate is also going to be burned.
Dessert wasn't bad.
Service was perfunctory. Hard to complain when no one does anything particularly wrong, but my SFO crews, thinking back to last December, going forward, have been fantastic until this one. I didn't eat the second meal.
My return flight has no SPML ordered. And it will be a new November menu, one can hope.
