Comms received this afternoon from BA. All sounds positive to me!

Have deployed some On Business points very effectively this year to unlock four seats to SYD in J, and now you can add your On Business number easily when making bookings again, it's working a whole lot more smoothly.... Just the booking part of the site which could do with an upgrade, but this announcement at least points to the fact On Business isn't going anywhere.....

We’ll be evolving On Business in 2026, to focus on what provides the most value – On Business Points. And here’s what you can expect.

More opportunities to earn On Business Points
We’re significantly expanding the range of fares you can earn On Business Points on.

Currently, when booking through your travel agent, some fares are excluded from earning points. From 1 January 2026, whether booking direct or via your travel agent, you’ll be rewarded regardless.

Just remember, your On Business number will need to be added to each booking.

Focusing on points-based rewards
Currently, our On Business Members in the UK can choose between an upfront discount or points when choosing their fare. As most Members choose to earn points, from 1 January 2026 we’ll make this the only option, to streamline the booking process.
