you're superimposing your hard nosed preference onto the rest of the BA customer base, if you're that bothered about having 100% certainty about your business class seat over considerations about price, schedule and everything else (I suspect you're in the minority) pick a different airline - but then don't complain when you fly QR, LH, EK, etc and end up with a different seat from the one you thought you were getting
I still prefer the “old” seat although don’t miss that flappy fan divider. Have never really seen why people like the suites which seem like rabbit hutches / workplace cubicles to me. And don’t get me started on the Qatar middle four sets.

That said, as I get older, I do like the aisle access plus the windows of the A and K seats Appreciate I’m in a minority here but it’s not as cut and dried as people sometimes think.
