As above if you are travelling on the weekend (or after 09.30 on weekday) there is no point buying an Anytime - they are no more flexible than Off-Peaks with the exception of the time restriction.

There is no risk in waiting until day of travel as there are no reservations on these particular routes, so you cannot book a seat anyway.

This will be a Friday daytrip. Leaving sometime around 8 or 9AM and back that same evening.
Seems like I can just wait til the day of, and if leaving after 9:30, save the money by getting off-peak Day return. If I am up early and want to get started, then just do the Anytime Day Return.
