Exactly. And it can't even be done right a lot of the time. So it should be renamed to something clearer and enforced, or done away with.

Furthermore, just because Group 0 passengers enter the pre-boarding queue doesn't mean they board before customers who require assistance.
The queue should instead be split instead in terms of how well people understand the world past their own nose. Any entitled business/first class passengers who repeatedly ask staff if they can board first, why X is ahead of them - should be demoted to the 7th circle of hell, or group 99, whichever comes first. On a recent flight I could only cringe and apologise to the staff on another pax's behalf. I don't want drama. Just setup signs, enforce it (we all know us Brits really love being told to queue properly anyway), then we can close this thread and move on with our lives. The G0 area at DXB is a great improvement, but anyone entering it who shouldn't be there or unnecessarily disturbing pre-boarding: instant demotion to G99.

In short yes I do like an easy boarding experience, but I don't want a front-row seat to awkwardly standing around or having the same arguments with entitled passengers who don't expect a group higher than their precious 1. We're not all computer scientists who know that lists really do start at 0!
