I made some purchases on Alaska today, and it was the same price on both Chase Travel and Alaskaair.com.
I thought airlines eliminated commissions for travel agents years ago. Is Chase Travel an exception to that? I’m trying to understand why Chase is so hungry for this business.
I believe they do still earn commissions on hotel bookings, though it's a good question on how they make money on airfare and are then also willing to give you a cut of it.
