Of course there can be more value to be had when transferring points to airlines for premium cabin awards but that requires availability to be there and locking yourself to a particular carrier and dates. The beauty of using UR points as a currency against travel payments is the versatality of being able to book for any time and place as long as there is a room/seat available for sale. So getting 2 cpp for that flexibility is a very good value IMHO.

As I believe has already been mentioned previously, you don't need to stay during the remainder of this year to get the credit, you only need to book it this year prior to 12/31/25 (don't wait until the last day though!), but the stay can take place in 2026 any time until the end of the booking calendar.
