Update...
Spent 15 minutes on the phone with the front desk. They routinely put me on hold to talk to someone in a back office. They asked me to send them a screenshot of my credit card activity showing the 3 posted charges for the 1 night stay.
Less than an hour later, I received a folio showing a refund for the 2 erroneously charged nights. I appreciate the refund, but now I won't get the 14x Aspire points. Win some, lose some.
Something must be up with training and PEP. This is the second stay in the last 6 weeks where I've had significant issues with holds posting as proper charges requiring refunds.
