I'm reminded just how bad UA's basic eco is. I know what I bought and I knew what I was getting myself into. But I purchase Eco Light on LH/LX/OS all year and I've never been assigned a middle seat, ever. UA just assigned me middle seats on a 737 and 757 (TATL) while there were plenty of window/aisle seats open in regular coach. Those are now all full as they auto assigned seats around the 48 hour mark. Why a Premier doesn't get preference for window/aisle is beyond me. I haven't flown UA BE in a very long time but I used to have luck at the lounge/gate asking for a seat change and so far haven't been denied. I hope that hasn't changed and will find out soon enough. </vent>
