I mean TSA... typed in wrong.

I flew LAX-HND-TSA on JL last year. I checked the airfare a few weeks ago and it was still cheaper than LAX-TPE non-stop on BR, CI, or JX.

The layover at HND was 3 hours so you do arrive at TPE at night instead during daytime. Therefore, non-stop premium is also a time premium. But I was visiting family so arriving at night actually works better for me. And arriving at TSA was massively better than TPE.
