Looking to do the status match prior to an upcoming stay at Outrigger Kona Resort, and have a couple of questions regarding process and benefits. Would request a match to Titanium, based on IHG Platinum status.
Can anyone tell me how long the status match realistically takes once we submit the info/payment online, until status is visible and available to hotels? Ask especially because our Outrigger stay is late next week, and want to make sure it would process in time to be seen by them (would also be great to be able to have the D$ for that stay).
As for Outrigger, for those who have been, particularly in Kona, can anyone comment on their status guest treatment, and what I might be able to expect, in terms of any service/upgrades. We're booked in an Oceanfront [base] room right now, but hoping (though I never 'expect') to be upgraded to a club-level room or potentially smaller suite. Is this a reasonable thought? Seems like Outrigger doesn't participate in free breakfast, but I assume we would get that if upgraded.
Anything else I should know specifically before attempting the match?
On another note, we haven't stayed at GHA properties in North America, but have been to several Anantara resorts in Thailand (starting with spending part of our honeymoon at Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan, which in itself was amazing and wish we'd stayed longer), and we (and kids, now, especially) have never been disappointed.
