booking.com code as travel. their mcc code is 7011 (Lodging–Hotels, Motels, Resorts–not elsewhere classified). however, csr no longer offer bonus points for travel. the 4x is for booking directly with hotels (e.g. hilton's mcc is 3504 and marriott's mcc is 3509)
vrbo uses a number of mcc, so it can code as travel, but it sometimes doesnt too

It’s pretty well known VRBO doesn’t code travel on most cards. Chase cards don’t either from my experience.
