That sounds confusing.

All the previous times I've flown to the UK as a British citizen with permanent residency in Switzerland, I've just showed my UK passport to leave the UK. I've never been asked to show proof of residency elsewhere to BA.

Maybe BA's systems have worked this out and don't challenge me.
