I have flown to and from both airports, though I have only connected at PHL (on both domestic and international flights). Other things being equal, I would recommend flying through PHL, because there are more possibilities of being rerouted though nearby airports (BOS, BWI, IAD, JFK) including flights on BA, if problems arise.
